My First 6 x 6 Scrapbook Page Swap

September_2007_6_x_6_scrapbook_page I’ve just completed my very first 6” x 6” scrapbook page.  This is for a SUDSOL (Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing Online-an internet group exclusively for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators) swap.

For this page I used a 6” x 6” piece of Patterned Designer Series Paper in Almost Amethyst, and Whisper White and Almost Amethyst card stock.

I stamped the images using a stamp from “In the Spotlight” and punched out the flowers using our new 5-Petal Punch.  I layered these on shapes punched out from Almost Amethyst card stock using our new Scallop Circle Punch (I LOVE IT!!), and attached those using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I tinted the edges of the scallop shapes using a sponge and Almost Amethyst Classic Ink.

I ran a 1 ½” strip of Whisper White card stock through my crimper after lightly sponging the edges and surface with Almost Amethyst Classic Ink.  I layered a 3 ¼” x 5 ¼” piece of Almost Amethyst card stock with a 3” x 5” piece of Whisper White card stock, and finished off the page with a tag constructed with our big and small tag punches and Whisper White and Almost Amethyst card stock.  I stamped the “Friend” image on a scrap of Whisper White card stock with Almost Amethyst Classic Ink, and punched it out using our ¾” circle punch, and attached it with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I embellished the flowers with small white half pearls from our new Pretties Kit, and attached a small silk flower (also from our Pretties Kit) to the tag to finish off the page.

Designing a page using a monochromatic color scheme makes for a quick and easy scrapbook project, and Stampin’ Up! eliminates the guess work because our products perfectly coordinate.
