Oops! I forgot to post this yesterday! The Creative Color Challenge for June was Red and Roses. This is the palette that Louise provided for us:
And this is my piece. Again, I created this in Photoshop. I'm still playing around with different tools and settings. I added drop shadows to the collar, pinafore and dress, and also added some textures as well so it doesn't appear "flat."
The background was created using a variety of brushes and colors from the palette on the right. I also added a bit of red "glitter" too.
You can check out some of the other challenges here: Red & Roses
As always, thank you so much for stopping by!
Hugs and Toodles!
Hi Anita, this piece is really interesting – I can’t believe it’s done in photoshop, it really looks like a photo of a mixed media piece… must be the drop shadows 🙂 Great work!
Anita – I am amazed at your photoshop skills. I love the dress, the background texture is amazing.
Thank you Lori! I appreciate that! Compared to what there is to learn about Photoshop, I still consider myself a novice…so this means a lot to me! Thank you SO much for stopping by! Hugs!
Hey Mandy…I think the drop shadows make a difference too…thank you SO much for stopping by! Hugs!
I tried to visit the link that you gave us with some of the work that other people did for the challenge. I am getting an error message that indicates that the link is broken, so maybe you could check that.
I like what you did with the background. It looks like a collage. I like the shades that were used for the challenge. Personally, the first thing I thought of when I saw it was high heel shoes. Specifically, platform heels. I would have used the darker tones for the heel.
Hi Megan…thank you for stopping by and commenting…I have no idea what happened to Louie’s links…the challenges are no longer there…sorry ’bout that! Anita
