This week’s challenge was watercoloring. Although I love the look of watercoloring I don’t feel it’s one of my strongest talents…and being too cowardly to display that this week I decided to go for a watercolor "look."
Have you ever received a gift from your husband or significant other that wasn’t exactly what you were expecting? Say like, uuummm…a vacuum cleaner for Christmas?
I used Copic markers and a blender pen to achieve the look of watercoloring. I used a gray marker and blender pen to do some hightlighting around the stamped image to give it more depth. And, even though my domestic goddess is hard at it, she still is glamorous enough to wear some bling around her neck!
Supplies:
Stamps: Domestic Goddess (Hanna Stamps)
Paper: Honey Pie (Cosmo Cricket), Whisper White and Cameo Coral (Stampin’ Up!)
Ink: Black Noir (Palette Hybrid), Red Lipstick (Tim Holtz Distress)
Other: ticket corner punch (SU!), grosgrain ribbon (Pink Hedgehog Papercrafts), self-adhesive rhinestones (Ellen Hutson, LLC), Copic markers and blender pen, sponge for accenting

Too cute! Love that image and your coloring is impeccable! {SMILES}
great job on the watercoloring…amazing how the shadowing around the main image makes a difference!!! Super!
Fun card!! My husband was told BEFORE we got married that if he ever gives my an appliance for the house for a gift: he’s dead! LOL!
Electrical appliances are such an easy one for hubbys!!!!!! Great card, and hey the watercolour wash works for me!

I’m not a big fan of watercoloring either! Your Hanna image is beautifully colored.
You did an amazing job with your Copics and blender. Your image is too funny. Great job on this challenge…
Funny you should ask, I ALWAYS get those types of gifts from my hubby and the worst part is that he even makes me go pick them out and buy them myself, lol! Too funny. But on the other hand that is what a want. That or stamp stuff but since I buy that all year long it is more practical!
Wow! This image really pops. The watercoloring is flawless! Awesome!
Your “faux watercoloring” technique looks wonderful!! I knew someone who’s hubby got her a membership to Weight Watchers for her b-day…
