Hi everyone! Yes, that’s right, it’s me…and a month hasn’t even gone by yet!
I just wanted to share an entry I made in the round robin art journal swap I’m participating in…I’m still pretty new to this as far as experience, but I’m learning, AND having a lot of fun…
This journal belongs to a wonderful artist in Sweden…and the theme for her art journal is “trees.” I’m attempting to get away from my earlier “scrapbook” look and applying some of the techniques I’ve been learning in school…something else I should learn is actually checking the photos I’ve taken before sending things off…obviously I’m shaking way more than I think I do, so this is NOT the most clear photo I’ve ever taken…
To create the trees I used Basic Grey patterned paper and various Nestabilities dies…the trees themselves were created using some texture paste. I used various colors of Golden’s fluid acrylics mixed with acrylic medium to paint the background and trees.
The letters are from a digital collage sheet I created with graphics designed by Roben-Marie Smith . She sells her art through “Paperbag Studios.” You stampers out there are probably familar with her rubber stamps…she’s also a very talented digital artist as well….I’m totally in love with her collage elements…believe me, you’ll be seeing more of her beautiful collage art!
Thank you for letting me share one of my new art mediums with you today! I have a lot more to share with you! I’m just hoping that I’ll remember…LOL!
Some of you may remember me talking about the chronic headache I have…it’s going on five years, and while I’ve learned to cope with the idea it may not ever go away, I still struggle with some of the other things I’ve had to deal with besides the pain, and that has been cognitive reasoning and short-term memory loss…I’m trying not to get all wigged out about it and try to maintain my sense of humor, but the truth is, it really bothers me that I have no concept of time, and that my memory is so poor…on the other hand, when searching for various art supplies (I spend a great deal of time “searching!”), I’m always finding things I’d forgotten I had so it’s kind of like having Christmas several times a week! LOL
So, hopefully, I’ll be back soon!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Toodles!
Anita
