Hey everyone…I've been conspicuously absent I know…what a summer! On the bright side though, we've had a very mild summer…August 2, and we still aren't using air conditioning in the livingroom!
As some of you may remember, I was Heidi's guest designer for June, and she graciously donated blog candy…so the winner is…tah dah…Beth Jaffe, author of the wonderful blog "The Queen of Cups Runneth Over." And now…another creation using Heidi's gorgeous embellishments:
This ATC uses one of Heidi's buttons from the Ivory Collection , (I love this neutral assortment…and a button jar is only $1.50!)
and 3/8" organdy ribbon
…after threading the ribbon on a needle, I put the needle through the button from top to bottom, and then bottom to top…leaving fairly long tails I tied the button with a square knot, and then gave the ribbon a blast with my heat gun to "melt" the ribbon just until it begins to curl…if you heat it too long the ribbon becomes brittle…I LOVE melting organdy ribbon…the ribbon is also available from Heidi…yet another reason to shop for your embellishments from the Pink Hedgehog…she carries so many colors that it is easy to coordinate all my projects!
