Blogger’s Challenge 25 – Sympathy

This week’s challege was a sympathy card.  Since I’m still at my daughter’s, my challenge is also making do103_0126  with what I brought or can easily acquire, which in my case was relatively easy since I discovered a new stamping/crafting store in the area!  K & Krafts in Moorhead, MN has all the latest product and an amazing collection of rubber stamps.  I purchased the tulip stamp (Northwoods Rubber Stamps) and the sentiment (Stampendous) there as well as a few other things such a beautiful ribbons for 10 cents per yard, including the  gold Offray ribbon here.  I purchased the tulip fabric at Hobby Lobby, and pillaged my daughter’s SU!® card stock for the background.  I stamped the image and sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I then used the watercolor technique with Stampin’ Pastels® and a blending pen from Stampin’ Up!®.  The fabric was backed with Pellon to stiffen it up and give it some body.

Thanks for looking!
