This week’s challenge was to use the layout from Stampin’ Up!®‘s Spring-Summer Collection on page 37 (the "Save the Date" card). As usual, I was about to procrastinate and "do it tomorrow," but when I looked at the card I realized that not only is this an easy layout, it also looked to be a fun challenge. Not having to work on a layout saved me a lot of time! So, here goes (the image is not the greatest-had to use the old scanner, again):
DCWV Metallic Pad
DCWV "All Dressed Up" Pad
Green Striped grosgrain (May Arts)
Black Satin Picot (May Arts)
Rub-ons (border and sentiment) – Stampin’ Up!® Eastern Elegance
1. Cut Whisper White card stock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"; score middle so card front measures 4 1/4" wide.
2. Cut green metallic card stock 4 1/4" wide x 1" long; striped All Dressed Up 1 1/2" long, green flowered All Dressed Up 2" long. Adhere to WW card front.
3. Cut green and white striped and black ribbons to fit width of card (should be 4 1/4"), and adhere to front of card. I use double stick 3M tape (714 dispenser).
4. Cut border rub-on width of card stock, and with "popsicle" stick, rub on bottom of card front. Do the same with the "Smile" sentiment.
That’s it. Quick and easy…gotta love that! I found Stampin’ Up!®‘s new rub-ons to be not only beautiful, but very easy to apply, and I had fantastic results!
Thanks for looking!
