Blogger’s Challenge Week 20 – Use Photos or Magazines on Your Cards

This week’s blogger’s challenge was to use photos or magazine pictures on our cards.  Well, of course, as soon as I read "photos" I instantly thought of using a picture of my two granddaughters, Brianna, and Kristen.  This picture was taken this past spring-and a rarity-the two agreed to dress alike!  I don’t know how their mother, Missy, and I talked them into it, but they went along with the idea.  I must have bribed them…nonetheless, the photos turned out great, and they and the photographer had a blast.

When I printed out the picture to use on the card, I use a special effect called "chalk" and used a Nestability to die cut the printed Basic Grey paper and the photo.  I ran Stampin’ Up!® Whisper White card stock through my Cuttlebug after spraying the card stock and the inside of the embossing folder with Glimmer Mist.  I antiqued the edges of all with Distress Vintage Photo ink from Ranger Industries.  I’m not sure the source of the charm or the ribbon…couldn’t even venture a guess…let’s just say it’s from my "stash."
