One of my favorite stampers and bloggers is Cambria Turnbow from Stamp a Little Love Baby. Well, when I checked out her blog yesterday, she had a post and link for HER friend Andrea for "Blog Candy for a Cause. I think what Andrea is doing is wonderful. Please check out her blog candy at Crafty Engineering. I’ve upped the ante–whoever wins her blog candy also wins a FREE stamp set from me.
Just like Andrea, Stampin’ Up! desires to make a difference. As part of their commitmemt in making a difference, Stampin’ Up!® is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) to bring comfort and creativity to the lives of Ronald McDonald House guests. Each year, thousands of families stay at more than 160 independently operated Ronald McDonald Houses in North America. These Houses serve as temporary homes for the families of seriously ill children who are being treated in nearby hospitals.
SU!® is pleased and honored to become a national sponsor of RMHC. Together, these two caring, helping organizations will create a powerful environment in which House guests will be able to enjoy creative expression in the comfort of their "home-away-from-home."
As part of their commitment to support this organization, Stampin’ Up!® will:
- Make an annual contribution of $100,000 to RMHC.
- Design an exclusive stamp set each year; a portion of the proceeds from the sale of that set will be donated to the organization. This year’s set is Just Like You.
- Donate items created at their regional seminars and other training events to Houses in the cities where they host events.
- Facilitate a program through which demonstrators can make a caring contribution and organize volunteer activities at Ronald McDonald Houses.
The winner of Andrea’s blog candy will also win the exclusive Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set for 2007, "Just Like You," a beautiful set of nine–PLUS a portion of the proceeds from the purchase of that stamp set will benefit RMHC.
So, check out the "Blog Candy for a Cause," make a card and offer encouragement to this very brave family!
